Accountability ensures actions and decisions taken by public officials to be oversight and to guarantee that government initiatives meet their objectives and respond to the needs of the community they are meant to be benefiting, thereby contributing to better governance.
Commencing from the very start, it is vital for people to know the value of their vote. Thus, the AFCAC team conducts training on the “From words to actions” website letting people know how to track the NUG’s commitments as they have risked their lives to vote. Luckily, AFCAC is getting positive (desired) feedback from the participants because they did not know about the mentioned initiative. So far, 3 pieces of training have been conducted in Logar, 2 in Nangarhar, and 3 in Kabul. 7 pieces of training are yet to be done.
