AFCAC conducted Zero AFN Banknote campaign during the month of October in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar provinces. AFCAC team, community mobilizers and its volunteer members went to various governmental and non-governmental entities and conducted the effective campaign in Behsud & Surkhrod Districts, Jalalabad Fruit Market, Abdul Haq Mena, Angor Bagh, Reg-e-Shahmard Khan, Kabul Bus Station, Consulate General of Pakistan, Baboryan, Maraston Square, Turkhan (border Area between Pakistan and Afghanistan), Nangarhar Custom Department, Joe Haft, Ghawchak High School (male, Ghawchak High School (female), Mashal educational Institute, Bibi Zainab Girls High School, Nasrat Girls High School, Abdul Qadir Kuchi High School, Mia Omar High School and Bibi Hawa Girls High School in Nangarhar in Nangarhar; Ministry of Education, Revenue Department, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Finance, Custom Department, National Statistics and Information Authority, Directorate of National Statistics Information and the Directorate of Afghan Retirees in Kabul; Directorate of Refugees and Repatriation, Afghanistan National Statistics and Information Authority and Laghman Municipality in Laghman; and Downtown of Asad Abad City, In front of Governor House and Afghanistan National Statistics and Information Authority in Kunar. This campaign aimed to give people sense of fighting against corruption and wanted people to raise voices, stand and fight for their legal rights.
During the campaign, people felt happy and understood if an employee does not proceed his/her legal process ahead and is trying to pave the way to the illegal act of bribing, Zero AFN Banknote exists to help him/her and solve the problems. Zero AFN Banknote is a crucial tool in fighting against corruption by which people say NO to corruption.
